Welcome to the second home on our virtual home tour featuring the stunning residence of my dear friends, Terri and Terry Schurman, affectionately known as Mr. and Mrs. T. They had this beautiful home built in 2022, and Mrs. T. has masterfully decorated every inch with a charming coastal vibe that truly captures the essence of Florida living. Their home, filled with warmth and character, is also shared with their dog, Harley, and two cats, Leo and Loki. The Schurmans have three daughters and one adorable grandson, Holden, who was born in November 2023. Known for their generous hospitality, Mr. and Mrs. T. love opening their doors to friends and family and creating lasting memories. The exterior of this home radiates coastal charm, perfectly complementing its large lakefront lot.
Entryway
The expansive entryway leads into an open concept kitchen, living room and dining room.
Kitchen
The kitchen is one of Mr. and Mrs. T's favorite parts of the house. They both enjoy cooking and making memories with friends and family over a great meal. When designing this kitchen, Mrs. T. spent countless hours searching for the perfect piece of quartzite for the countertops. She finally found it at Destack Countertops in Jacksonville and they created a professional video featuring this installation (to watch, click here).
Living Room & Dining Room
The living room has a light and airy ambiance and I love how the stone on the fireplace seamlessly blends with the room's bright atmosphere without making it feel heavy. The large sliding doors offer a perfect view of the back patio and lake. The dining room is ideal for family meals, and since Mr. and Mrs. T love wine, they had a custom wine holder and wine cooler built into the space. Primary Bedroom & Bath
The primary bedroom boasts stunning windows overlooking the backyard and lake. I adore the chairs placed in front of these windows; they're not only stylish but also provide a perfect spot for reading. The primary bathroom is unique with its double vanity tucked into a corner. The luxurious tub and shower create a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere.
Laundry Room with Dog Wash
The laundry room is designed with convenience and functionality in mind, featuring a built-in dog wash station that is perfect for giving the Schurman's pup, Harley, a bath. This practical addition makes it easy to clean dirty clothes and muddy paws all at the same time!
Home Office
Mrs. T. is using one of the main-level bedrooms as a home office. The fluffy flamingo makes a bold statement on the desk and the light fixture is an amazing centerpiece for this room.
Main Level Guest Bathroom
All of the elements in this room blend perfectly to create a classy coastal guest bathroom.
Bonus Room, Guest Bedroom & Bathroom
This space is perfect for guests. The bedroom and bathroom are cozy and comfortable and the bonus room provides an extra place to relax or watch TV.
Backyard Bar & Pool
The Schurmans' custom-designed their backyard oasis. The patio features travertine tile, and the pool includes a beautiful sun shelf and bar stools in the shallow end. Under the pergola, they built a stylish bar, making this the perfect spot for enjoying summer fun with family and friends.
